How to create dashboard reports or charts
Dashboard charts offer a powerful means to gain insights at a glance. You can visualize various analysis charts right on your dashboard, allowing you to quickly assess process performance, evaluate user efficiency, and identify potential work overload. To add a new chart, follow these steps:
- From the top-right corner, click the 'User' button and select 'User Settings'.
- Choose a 'Report Style' that suits your preference, such as Bar, Pie, Doughnut, Line, Polar Area, or Radar.
- Select a specific report, like 'Admin Approvals'.
- Here's where you can create an informative chart. Let's say you want to track the number of assigned tasks for each user. To do this, you can:
- Select 'Aggregate Function' as COUNT.
- Set the 'Value Field' to 'Id'.
- Choose 'Group By' and set it to 'Assigned User'.
- Click 'Add' to generate the chart.
Example: You've just created a chart on your dashboard that displays a bar graph showing the number of assigned tasks for each user. This provides a quick visual summary of work distribution and helps you identify users who might be handling more tasks than others. For instance, it will show that User A has 15 assigned tasks, User B has 12, and so on. These insights can be invaluable for workload management and optimizing task assignments.
